5 of My Top Android Games
I recently renewed my mobile phone contract, and as a result I received a discounted Samsung Epic. I was really excited to get this phone, as it’s my very first smart phone. After fiddling around with it for a few minutes, I immediately got down to the serious business of downloading apps to play during my commute to and from work. After playing several games, I’ve created a list of my top five game apps for Android phones. Based on the numbers, lots of Android users agree with me! I’ve picked a few obvious winners, and I’ve also tried to include one or two that you might not know about. Here I mentioned my Top Android Games.
Angry Birds
Okay, so this is the obvious choice, but I can’t help it! I’m not sure how much time I’ve lost to playing this game; I really haven’t kept track of how much time I spend on it. All I know is that I must defeat the ugly green pigs. I’m not quite sure why they took the eggs, but I know they must be defeated. This game remains one of the top downloads across all smart phone platforms. It’s a great puzzle based game, with great graphics, and a cleverly witty soundtrack. If you haven’t played this yet, you must!
Air Control Lite
The free version of Air Control has you solving minor air traffic problems in the skies over your tiny airport. Trace with your finger each plane’s pathway to get it to land safely. Avoid collisions at all cost! As you get better and progress through the levels, more planes will flood the skies. I cannot stop playing this game, mostly because there are really infinite ways to solve the traffic problems as they occur. This is a must-have puzzle game.
Words With Friends
Words With Friends pits you against other word-twisters. Basically a version of the popular board game Scrabble, Words With Friends is successful because it allows you to play across platforms. One thing I’ve discovered is that it’s not necessarily about who has the greater vocabulary, though that is important, but rather it’s about who uses the point tiles best to their advantage.
Slice It!
Slice It! is another brainteaser sort of game. You are presented with a variety of geometric shapes that you are to slice with your finger into equal parts. The shapes get wackier as you play, which can lead to some funny and frustrating moments.
Solipskier
I’m someone who is loathe to pay money for a game on my phone; however, when I first read reviews of this gorgeously designed game, I absolutely had to have it. A fast side-scroller, Solipskier pits your skier against the elements. You draw snow in front of him, and depending on the terrain you create, he’ll jump high into the air and perform tricks, or he’ll crouch low to speed through the gates. Try to make as many points as you can while having fun admiring the beautiful graphics of this clever game. Play it online here for free and then buy it for your phone!
